DARTON AVIATION CLEAN KIT

System 1: Oil shutoff

Purpose: To prevent gravity feed of oil supply in tank to engine.

System: Electric slide gate valve in main engine oil line.

Operation: Shutoff is engaged to "closed" position on engine shutdown. Engine start is prevented by starter circuit interruption until gate valve switch is moved to open. In addition, an oil pressure switch prevents closure of the valve while the engine is running.

System 2: Electric pumping Oil recovery system

Purpose: To pump all residual oil from all the lower front engine areas back to the oil tank after engine is shut down.

Operation: Specially designed system components to facilitate evacuation of the majority of lower engine and crankcase oil and to preclude this reservoir of oil from future leakage.
